Jon Gomez is a Mexican-American artist living in Los Angeles, CA. Gomez graduated from California Institute of the Arts in 2007, and works across disciplines as a visual artist, animator, filmmaker, and photographer. Jon is best known for his multi-media ephemeral drawings that often demonstrate lust and allure through unearthly and often grotesque images. He has featured work in several exhibitions along the west cost, and has worked as a conceptual designer for several multi-media projects including Clive Barker’s “Fear Project.” Gomez was instrumental in organizing a gallery show of Ray Bradbury’s short stories and novels in Los Angeles, including Fahrenheit 451 and the Martian Chronicles, which took place at a working forge and attracted over two thousand guests in one night. Gomez has lectured for the Academy for Creative Media at the University of Hawaii, Riverside Community College, and is a full-time faculty member at California Institute of the Arts within the esteemed Character Animation department.
